Greetings from Shenandoah National Park!
Back when my wife and I were just dating, we used to go hiking to the top of Old Rag in Shenandoah National Park fairly often. I decided to propose to her near the top, and secretly packed a tripod and camera in my backpack to enable me to capture this picture right after she accepted the proposal. What she didn't know at the time was that I had a whole weekend of activities planned for her. While we were hiking Old Rag, a friend of mine was secretly delivering flowers and rose petals to a nearby B&B where I had a reservation that night. He also brought dress clothes for us because I had reservations for dinner at the incredible Inn at Little Washington! After our hike, with the engagement ring on her finger, she thought we were just going to go home and shower. Instead, I turned into the B&B, showed her the room full of rose petals and flowers, then we showered and had an amazing dinner at the Inn at Little Washington. The next day, to conclude our engagement weekend, I took her to see a Cirque du Soleil show. So Shenandoah National Park played a key role on our engagement weekend!
