Greetings from Zion National Park!
A beautiful drive from Las Vegas to Zion. Just a day trip so we did not have to time to hike. But the drive through the park was breathtakingly beautiful.
P.S. I support the parks because… “The supreme reality of our time is … the vulnerability of our planet.” “National parks and reserves are an integral aspect of intelligent use of natural resources. It is the course of wisdom to set aside an ample portion of our natural resources as national parks and reserves, thus ensuring that future generations may know the majesty of the earth as we know it today.” - John F. Kennedy President of the United States
Zion National Park
Striking rock towers and mesas, steep canyons, and flowing water create a wide variety of habitat at Zion National Park, from large mammals like mountain lions, to hardy desert plant life like cholla and juniper, to rare and threatened birds like the peregrine falcon, California condor, and Mexican spotted owl.
